In March, I posted this…comic? illustrated…thing? that I made to acknowledge my mom’s birthday:

A perfect day in another world

It’s Mother’s Day today in the US, and of course I have a lot of feelings, but I want to acknowledge that most of them are some kind of gratitude.

My mother loved me so wonderfully, and I feel so lucky to have been picked by the universe to be her daughter.

Here are some of the initial drawings I worked through until I got to what felt right for that comic. I thought it’d be nice to share them today.

(I always knew my mom with a pixie haircut, so that’s how I tend to draw her.)
