Existing is exhausting
Learning from bears. New comic inside!
In the last newsletter I sent (uh…mid-December🙈), I posted a few comics that I made during a month-long comics challenge. I submitted the NYT Well comic a few places, and am delighted that it found a home at Modern Women.
Also, I’ve more or less quit Instagram. My profile is still active, but I’m not updating or checking it. This will probably continue for the remainder of this administration foreseeable future.
Now, enjoy a peek into some of the reasons I haven’t stopped by since mid-December.
While it's true I have been wintering, I've also needed to prioritize paid work as a freelancer. I would really love to post here more regularly, but I could only do that if this newsletter were a source of income.
Want to show your appreciation without the commitment? I totally get it. Let’s keep this casual and see where it goes: Buy Me a Coffee.

I have, since I was diagnosed with Ideopathic pulmonary fibrosis and had open heart surgery to replace a genetically faulty aortic heart valve ten years ago come May, been a ‘half-day person’. I am also a ‘fair weather person’, who once loved winter, but started to hibernate to help protect my lungs from cold, damp air (also hot dry days, so I stay in then too. I tell you all this because I am on the side the bear 100%. We should listen to our bears. A lovely piece. Let’s hope Modern Women helps you grow your audience.🐰
Loved this. Existing can be so freakin exhausting. I’m glad to see you’ve embraced your inner Bear and hibernated. It’s perfect time to sit and take everything in without all of the outer chaos. Thanks for this. And heck yeah for the new post!
